Ready to take SugarCRM to the next level? Now you can, with Glances. Glances enhances SugarCRM by making data from all your apps available in one, clean customer view. SugarCRM users can quickly view payment data, marketing data, files and collaboration records, and a wide variety of other apps from our constantly expanding library.


Here’s how it works for SugarCRM: Once you’ve started your trial at glances.com, you can connect all your workplace apps. We’ll use our simple connection process to add SugarCRM. Once added, we’ll connect by clicking Connect on the SugarCRM tile. You’ll see that we need to provide our instance URL as well as our login credentials. However, before doing so, we’ll need to add glances as an API platform within SugarCRM. You can do this by navigating to the Admin page within SugarCRM, clicking Configure API Platforms, and adding glances. Once saved, return to Glances to enter those credentials and click Connect.

Now that we’re connected, we can view SugarCRM data from glances.com or by using the Glances browser extension from any page we’re on. Additionally, because we have other apps we have connected to Glances we can quickly see that data from within SugarCRM as well. Here are a few examples of how customers use Glances with SugarCRM:

Here I am in Zendesk, a popular customer ticketing platform. As a Zendesk agent, I get frequent phone calls from customers and I need to see CRM data, such as contact information, notes, or quotes. With SugarCRM connected to Glances, I can highlight the name I need more information on (or manually type in the name within our browser widget) and view SugarCRM related data. Because this is a live search, I can be confident that I’m getting the latest information I need to help the customer.

Now, let’s transition to SugarCRM. As a sales person, I likely stay in Sugar a good part of the day. However, we collect payments through Stripe. Within Sugar, I can quickly use Glances to pull up and display payment information from Stripe so I know this contact’s payment status before I reach out.

Glances also includes access to our unique Actions feature, which allows you to complete tasks from other apps directly from our conveniently located widget. From there you can quickly create invoices, customers, and others depending on your team needs and workflows. While we try to anticipate commonly needed Actions, we also encourage customers to let us know if an Action needs to be added to improve their workflow.
