One-Click Filter Organizes Your Search Results by Type

Quick skim on this update:

✔️ When you use the Glances Search tab, results are now filtered by type: People, Cases, Files, etc.

✔️ Click on any type to only see relevant results listed, such as documents or support cases and tickets

✔️ People will always be listed first, so you can click to view your contact’s full collection of Glances

Your same Glances search results, now filtered for quick reference

As you add new business apps to your tech stack and get them connected with Glances, your list of search results within the single view Glances provides will inevitably grow. If you don’t want to quickly scroll to locate the specific Glance you need, we have now rolled out a one-click filter labeled by the following types:

• Person – any contact by name or email address
• File – documents from Google Drive, DropBox, etc.
• Support Case or Ticket – Zendesk, Jira Support Desk, etc.
• Event – calendar event, meeting, etc.
• Task Item – Asana, monday.com, etc.
• Company – any company by name
• Opportunity – records from Salesforce, SugarCRM, etc.
• Marketing List – lists from marketing platforms and apps
• Invoice – invoices from QuickBooks, FreshBooks, etc.
• Payment – payment details from Stripe, etc.
• Project – project details from Asana, monday.com, etc.
• More filter types to come, as needed!

Searching by generic term

In the example below, the Glances user has entered a quick search for “Marketing” to find any related data across their multiple applications. Now with the one-click filter in place, it’s even faster to find exactly what you’re looking for, whether it’s a specific marketing file you need to open or a marketing company you need to follow up with. Simply click any filter type – People, Files, Events, Companies, and more – to only view results related to that filter.

Note: if your search results are filtered into more than 4 types, you can find any additional types in a dropdown menu by clicking the 3 dots on the right, as shown below.

Searching by name or email address

Next, the Glances user has moved on to search for one of their customers named Jill Mahomes. The filter will do the work to break out the different types of data that is available and relevant to Jill. From the All Results tab or People tab, you will first see all the Glances specific to Jill; simply click to expand and view all data across your various apps for this contact. Otherwise, if a record (like a Google doc) aligns with one of the available types, you can quickly find it organized and filtered by the correct type, such as Files.

Note: The All Results tab will always show the person you are searching for (and their Glances) first.

Click on any of the filter tabs to only view records that fall under that specific type, such as Files or Cases. Click on any of the link icons to immediately open the document, support ticket, etc. in its original application, outside of Glances.

Opening your contact’s collection of Glances

Click on Jill Mahomes from either the All Results tab or People tab to open this contact’s full collection of Glances. This is where all available data related to your contact will appear, organized per connected app.

Next, scroll through the list of Glances and click to view the details. If you need to jump out of Glances and view anything directly in an app, just click on our handy external link to make it happen. Need to go back to your original search results view? Just click the Back to Results link in the tab to get there.
